Einzelgenehmigung (§31 KFG 1967)

A vehicle imported from outside the EU generally needs an Einzelgenehmigung under §31 of Austria's KFG 1967 (Kraftfahrgesetz), issued by the Amt der Landesregierung of the state you'll register in. Before that's granted, the vehicle is checked for road-safety and legal compliance by a recognized technical service such as TÜV.
