How homologation actually works
Every EU country runs its own process under its own name, but the shape is the same: prove the vehicle meets local technical requirements, fix what doesn't, get it approved, then register it. Here's what we actually do at each stage.
1. Free assessment
Send us the vehicle's origin, specification, and documentation. We identify which country's process applies, what's likely to need modification, and give you a real cost and timeline range before anything is booked.
2. Documentation & technical dossier
Every country requires its own paperwork: a full technical report in Germany, a technical dossier in Spain, an identification and inspection file in the Netherlands. We prepare it so it's accepted the first time, not bounced back for corrections.
3. Modifications, where needed
Common gaps: lighting beam pattern, emissions equipment, speedometer units, missing rear fog lights. We scope exactly what's required before you commit, so there are no surprise costs mid-process.
4. Inspection & approval
The vehicle is presented to the relevant technical service or laboratory (TÜV/DEKRA in Germany, RDW in the Netherlands, an authorized lab in Spain). We manage the appointment and represent the vehicle's case.
5. Registration
With the approval granted, the vehicle is registered and plated in its destination country, ready to drive legally in the EU.
US-spec, Gulf-spec, Chinese domestic-market, JDM, or anywhere else outside Europe: the process differs by destination country and by vehicle, not by where the car came from. See the country-specific process:
