The process, step by step

    For a vehicle from outside the EU, customs clearance produces the '705' sticker confirming duties are settled.

    An approved technical service examines the vehicle and produces a technical report.

    SNCA verifies the vehicle's compliance with the legal framework based on the technical report.

    Modifications, if flagged

    Registration

    With the customs sticker, insurance certificate, technical inspection report, and a chancellery fee, the vehicle is registered at one of SNCA's three sites (Sandweiler, Esch-sur-Alzette, or Fridhaff).
