HomologateMyCar is operated by DriveSino, registered in the Netherlands under KVK (Chamber of Commerce) number 72864761, registered address Europalaan 22, Unit 8512, 3526 KS Utrecht, Netherlands ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect through homologatemycar.com, why, and what rights you have over it under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we actually collect

HomologateMyCar is deliberately simple: there are no user accounts, no payment processing on this site, and no analytics or advertising trackers of any kind. The only personal data we handle comes from two places:

• The quote form. When you fill in the form on our contact page (vehicle origin, brand and model, mileage or condition, current location, purchase status, destination country, and anything you type in the free-text field), that information is not sent to or stored on our servers. Clicking "Send via WhatsApp" opens a pre-filled WhatsApp message addressed to our business number, and the message is sent directly through WhatsApp when you press send there. From that point, it's a normal WhatsApp conversation, handled under WhatsApp's (Meta's) own privacy policy, and kept in our business WhatsApp account like any other customer conversation.
• Direct contact. If you email us at contact@homologatemycar.com or message us on WhatsApp directly, we keep that conversation to respond to you and, where you become a customer, to provide the homologation service itself.

Cookies

This site sets exactly one cookie: a functional cookie that remembers the language you've chosen (or that you've dismissed the automatic language suggestion), so you're not redirected again on your next visit. It carries no tracking or advertising purpose and isn't shared with any third party. See our Cookie Policy for the full detail.

Why we process this data

• To respond to your quote request and provide the homologation service you asked about (contract / pre-contractual steps, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To answer questions you send us directly (legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
• To remember your language preference (legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Who else sees it

Quote-form data goes to WhatsApp/Meta the moment you send it, since that's the transport we use. Meta processes it under its own privacy policy, and as a US-based company, may process data outside the EU under its own safeguards (including EU Standard Contractual Clauses). Beyond WhatsApp, we don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers. If your case is actually handled through DriveSino (our sister company, for sourcing) or a specific technical service/inspection body in your destination country, we share only what that step genuinely requires.

How long we keep it

WhatsApp conversations are kept for as long as reasonably needed to handle your enquiry or deliver the service you've engaged us for, and for as long afterward as we're legally required to keep business records (typically up to 7 years for financial/administrative records under Dutch law, where a paid service was actually provided).

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it (access).
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data (rectification).
• Ask us to delete your data, where we're not required to keep it for legal reasons (erasure).
• Object to or ask us to restrict certain processing.
• Ask for your data in a portable format.
• Lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or your own country's equivalent authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or why, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. We won't reduce your rights under an earlier version without your consent.
